To create a volumetric photograph using VolumeArc® you must have a source image file rendered using 3ds max (version 6.0 or higher) using "Panorama Exporter" mode (Rendering>Panorama Exporter>Render).

Before rendering it is crucial that you add a "camera" object to your scene and place it wherever you want your virtual viewer to be located. Then choose Rendering>Panorama Exporter. The Panorama Exporter panel will open on the right portion of the user interface. Click the button labeled "Render" and define your rendered image's save settings.

Image file parameters:
- format: *.bmp (preferably)
- image size: 4000õ2000 px

Next open VolumeArc®. Load the image produced in the last step. For conversion to a volumetric photo, proceed to screen 3, enter your required publishing parameters, choose a place on the local disk where you want to save your volumetric photo, and click on Publish.
